It's time to say goodby!

It's that wonderful time of the year again (really!) when Stampin' Up! announces those stamp sets that won't be appearing in the new catalogue (did you know it's coming out June 1st this year?). It's sad to see them go but it makes room for all the new wonderful stamp sets coming. If you've been waiting to purchase these sets make sure you do so before May 31st when they will be gone forever...well except on those online auction sites where you'll pay double (or more) face value!

Some of my favourites that are retiring are:

Winter Post - like Dorothy said to the scarecrow "I'm going to miss you most of all!" - I LOVE this set. I'm really partial to the heritage style stamps and these skates make me smile every Christmas when I take it out of storage for the season. I use the "Post Card" image all year round and the french version of the set has the wording "Carte Postale" which is perfect with french themed sets (like Artistic Etchings)

Welcome Christmas - say it isn't so! This set is fabulous and really gives the feel of Christmas' Past. Sniff....

Wonderfully Worn - this is a really versatile background stamp - add some dimension to a plain background without distracting from the main image.

Medallion - YIKES - another keeper and one you have to have in your collection.

Flores Suaves - this is a Spanish set that isn't in our Canadian catalogue BUT we can purchase it and I own this beauty. Please click on the link to see the images. The BEE is to die for and the other images are very botanical looking - snap this one up!!

Charming, You're A Gem & Clearly for You - these little images are perfect for collage stamping.

Baroque Motifs - an oldie but a goodie - it's been around for a while but the flourish and the "medallion" style stamps lend themselves to many techniques including faux metal.

The accessories retirement list will be announced on April 25th and these items will only be available while supplies last - so don't delay if you see something you want grab it fast!

A heads up on the In Color collections - the five colours from 2010 - 2011 are retiring (they'll be five new ones coming) so if you love these colours make sure you stock up NOW before they sell out. Since paper, markers and ink are considered accessories these will be on the retirement list on April 25th and when they are gone...you know the rest of the story!

Poppy Parade (fresh, snazzy tomato red) and Peach Parfait (lovely soft peach (orange)) - boy I'll miss these colours!In Color retirees include - Blushing Bride (such a pretty, soft subtle blush colour), Pear Pizzazz (fabulous green), Concord Crush (vibrant purple that goes beautifully with Wisteria Wonder),

You can go on to Stampin'Up! or my business website to find out more information.

I am having a retirment party on the 2th of May Wednesday 6:30 to 9:30pm at my studio. Hope you can come and join me to see lots of fun projects that made by those retired sets and we are not going to miss it before its too late!
Come bakc to visit again for more information about the retirment party!

Love and Blessings;
Angela
